ami+partners are looking to fill the “Director of Analytics for National Media” in our Denver, Colorado office to enhance our leadership team in analyzing traditional media buys on behalf of our US and International clients to ensure they are not only getting what they paid for but paying only for what they got.

The next “Director of Analytics for National Media” will have an opportunity to analyze media buys purchased and stewarded by both domestic US and International agencies (all independent and holding companies). Those traditional media buys will include but are not limited to, National TV, National Radio and Digital agreements.

Job Description

The “Director of Analytics for National Media” will be responsible for the examination and assessment of our clients’ National Media buys, based on but not limited to: our clients’ guidelines, standards, MKPI’s and agency media buying commitments. This person will also be responsible for identifying shortfalls and gaps in delivery and recommendations for corrective actions for our clients.

The “Director of Analytics for National Media” will also be responsible for the accuracy and synthesis of an advertiser’s media buy data points into manageable collections of information pertinent to our clients’ needs.

The applicant will work closely with the executive team in establishing and expanding our current media audit deliverables.

Job Requirements

Applicant must have a media buying background (planning experience a plus) in both National TV and Radio.  Applicant must be highly detail oriented and have the desire to deeply analyze agency buying data, with interest in investigating granular information. The applicant needs to have the ability to understand big picture impact of modest changes in media strategy and/or tactics. The applicant will be required to collaborate and communicate clearly with all media agency and client personnel.

Job requirements also include:

  • 5-10+ years media buying agency experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Passion for analytics and offering strong recommendations based on those analytics.
  • High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and macros).
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Acute attention to detail and timelines.
